We are a gay couple in Regional Victoria, a couple of hours out of Melbourne. We are both in our 40s. We have a large extended family, and would love to add to our immediate family. We are lucky enough to be stable and successful in our careers, and feel we could give a child or children a great life.

Financial preparedness

We are financially stable. I own my own dental practice, and Tim has been working as a social worker for over 10 years.

We feel we are in a position to cover all financial costs involved with a surrogacy journey.

Requirements

We are more than happy to work with any surrogate who is healthy, and meets the criteria set out by our clinic:

-prior baby

-BMI ≤35

-no chronic medical conditions

-no ore than 3 caesarean sections; agrees to a planned caesarean section

-no history of pelvic inflammatory disease

-no history of pregnancy complications

-no addictions (smoking, alcohol, drugs)

-normal somnohysterogram (SHG)

-no older than 43 years of age

The relationship we hope to build

We personally feel we are easy-going and willing to work with any surrogate.

We are a gay couple and would require the surrogate to be comfortable working with a same sex couple.

We are also overseas, but are more than happy to communicate via text, emails, letters and video calls.

Vaccination information

We both believe in the effectiveness and safety of vaccines.

Views on termination

We believe that termination is necessary in life threatening or medically unstable situations.

If an embryo has a condition that is going to compromise quality of life to a great degree, then we may consider termination.

Fun facts about me

I started my own dental practice about 11 years ago.

Interests and hobbies

I am a big sports fan (mostly watching but enjoy participating when I can) - I’m a big rugby league supporter. I enjoy going to the gym.

I love listening to and attending live music (despite my parents’ best efforts, I unfortunately cannot play anything myself!)

I enjoy reading (but don’t read enough fiction), and watching movies.

I also enjoy cooking, especially trying to cook dishes from my childhood - my parents used to own a Chinese restaurant when I was younger.

I have also been trying hard to learn more Chinese. My parents are from Hong Kong, but I speak mostly English. I would love to get more fluent in both Cantonese and Mandarin.

Interests and hobbies

I’m a social worker passionate about supporting children and young people to reach their potential.

Outside of work, I love spending time in the garden growing my own veggies, hitting the gym, and cooking dishes from different cultures. I also enjoy walks with our dog, Maisie - she keeps life full of energy and joy!
