About them

I’m a social worker who has dedicated my career to supporting children and families, with experience in child protection, domestic violence prevention, and working with at-risk teenagers. I'm a playful and curious person, happiest when I’m laughing with my nieces and close friends, being active outdoors with my dog Toby, and pulling something slightly over-ambitious out of the oven.

Financial preparedness

I have been saving my money in a number of ways, and am confident that between that, the steady income I make in my management position at work, and the extra income I bring in through my writing, that I have enough money to cover this process and any expenses that may arise. Between writing and social work, my annual income is typically between $200-235k per year. I also have the financial support of my family in the case that it is needed, however I only would see that needed in the case of an emergency.

Embryos
Yes.

I have 11 embryos currently stored, all of which have been genetically tested, and 5 of them determined to be euploid embryos.

What they're looking for
Their hopes and requirements for a surrogate
Requirements

I don’t have any specific medical requirements beyond the standard screening process. I trust the medical professionals to ensure that everyone is a strong candidate for a healthy and successful pregnancy, and I’m committed to following the guidance of the clinic to support the best possible outcome for both the surrogate and the baby.

The relationship we hope to build

I don't have a checklist of personal qualities, and I always try not to judge people based on their circumstances, beliefs, or lifestyle. What matters most to me is mutual respect and feeling accepted. As a queer person on a single parent journey, it's important to me that this feels affirmed and supported. Beyond that, I believe connection matters more than labels. I tend to connect easily with people from all walks of life, and I’m committed to building a relationship grounded in trust, kindness, and care for one another throughout the process.

Vaccination information

My main priority is a healthy pregnancy for both the surrogate and the baby. I’m comfortable following the medical guidance of the clinic regarding recommended vaccinations and would want us to feel aligned and informed in any decisions.

Views on termination

My primary value is the health and safety of both the surrogate and the child. In situations involving serious medical concerns, I believe decisions should be guided by medical expertise, careful consideration, and compassion. If a pregnancy were to pose significant risk to the surrogate’s health, or if there were severe medical conditions affecting the child that would lead to profound suffering, I would want us to approach that situation thoughtfully and collaboratively, with the goal of preventing undue harm or ongoing pain. I believe in having open, honest conversations in advance so that everyone feels aligned, respected, and supported should difficult decisions ever arise.

Fun facts about me

Before going into social work, I spent my twenties working professionally in theatre as an actor and writer. While I don't do it as a career anymore, I still write plays and musicals, with some of my work having produced in cities across Canada and in the United States, including a musical in New York City!

Interests and hobbies

My hobbies fall somewhere between teenager and senior citizen. I love staying active, hiking, and spending time by the water, but I’m just as happy at the theatre, crafting, or attempting something ambitious in the kitchen, sometimes successfully. I’m endlessly curious and creative, and on weekends you’ll often find me taking a class or going down a YouTube rabbit hole to learn a new skill. I enjoy reading and creative writing, care deeply about volunteer work, and am happiest when I’m laughing with my family and friends.

What friends say
“

My friends would say that I’m someone who shows up. I’m values-driven and lead with kindness, and I genuinely believe in making life a little better for the people around me. I care deeply about helping others, but I also don’t take myself too seriously. I love to laugh, I love making people smile, and I’m usually the one turning an ordinary get-together into a fully themed birthday party that no one saw coming (or asked for). Ultimately I’m the friend and family member people call when they need someone steady, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in the people they love.
