Hi, we are Vesna & Paul!

It’s hard to capture who we are and our story in just a page or two, but we’ll do our best. We hope this gives you a sneak peek, and that we’ll get to share the rest when we meet!

After years of navigating the ups and downs of fertility, doctor visits, and the emotional rollercoaster that comes with it all, we have made a decision filled with so much hope and love. We are looking for a surrogate!

We’ve always known we wanted to become parents. I sometimes catch myself daydreaming about the moment someone calls me “Mom,” and the love that is shared between a parent and a child. I can't wait to feel that 🥹

We never imagined this journey to parenthood would look like this, but whoever we ultimately connect with, we will be forever grateful, more than we can ever express.

We’re trying not to see it as a hard road anymore, just the path we were meant to take.

A little about us...

We met almost 20 years ago through mutual friends, and it was love at first sight (well, at least for Paul it was😉). We’ve now been married for 8 years, while we’ve had our share of ups and downs like any couple, there’s always been this undeniable connection that pulls us back together, and no matter what comes our way, we will face it together.

We try to live life with a positive outlook. Paul’s naturally great at this, always reminding me (Vesna) to let go of the small stuff and live in the moment. I (Vesna) tend to overthink, but Paul has helped me slow down and enjoy the moments. He reminds me that life’s too short to stress the small stuff. Together, we balance each other out.

We’re both young at heart and super close with our nieces, nephew, and friends’ kids. They love me for the Disney connection (instant cool points!) and adore Paul for being a big kid himself, FaceTiming just to chat with “Auntie Ves-a-na” and Uncle Paulie, always asking when we’re coming over next.

A little bit of what we love and like…

We’re a mix of movie buffs and sports fans, crime thrillers & animation are our go-to (Disney loyalty runs deep!). Football (NFL) is our favorite, and we’ve made it a tradition to travel to a new city each year to catch a game and make memories. We’re big foodies who love trying new recipes and exploring local gems, and in the summer, we love weekends at Paul’s family cottage, fresh air, fishing, and total relaxation.

Most of all, we cherish our circle. Our family and friends mean the world to us. They’ve been incredibly supportive throughout our journey, and we can’t wait to raise a child surrounded by so much love.

A little bit of what we do…

I work in Analytics at Disney Consumer Products (yep, I work for the Mouse…Hi Mickey!) I’ve been with the company for 18 years, and while I always pictured myself in a more creative role, I’ve discovered that even crunching numbers can still leave room for a little creativity. I’m also lucky to not only love what I do, but who I do it with. I have made lifelong friends. Once you are part of the Disney family, you’ll always be part of it. It’s something special.

Paul is a mortgage agent/broker, but more than that, he’s like a financial coach and cheerleader rolled into one. He truly cares about helping people build secure futures. Even if you need advice, he is always willing to listen, no matter what.

The relationship we hope to build

To be honest, it’s kind of like dating, we’re hoping for a real connection. We’d love to match with someone we genuinely click with, someone who feels comfortable with us and vice versa. We live a fairly healthy lifestyle and try to stay active (most days... the couch and the ice cream win sometimes too!). We do hope our surrogate shares a similar approach, balanced, healthy(ish), and mindful. Someone honest, open, and just a kind human being.

More than anything, we want to be as involved as you’re comfortable with. Whether that means regular updates, sharing milestones, or cheering you on every step of the way, we’re here for it, and we’ll always respect your boundaries. We just hope this journey feels meaningful and supported for everyone involved, even after the baby is here.

We would love to stay close with our surrogate before, during, and after the pregnancy, there’s no time limit for us. That said, we’ll always respect her comfort level, and follow her needs and wants as well.

Views on termination

Our first priority is always the health and well-being of both the baby and the surrogate. We would never want to put her health at risk. If medical issues came up, we’d listen to the doctors, talk it through together, and make a decision together about what’s best for everyone.

I am very competitive, though you would never know

I worry a lot, although I have gotten better, and I try to live in the moment.

Interests and hobbies

A few things about me: I grew up in Richmond Hill (ON), but I moved downtown almost 20 years ago. If I ever move outside the city, I’ll miss the freedom of walking everywhere, the grocery store, gym, coffee runs… it’s truly the best part of living downtown.

Family is a huge part of my life. I’m very close with my mom and brother. My dad passed away 20+ yrs ago, so it’s really been the three of us for a long time. I’m also really close with my 2 nieces and my nephew. We get together often for dinners, board game nights, and watching sports.

Speaking of sports, I love football. I’m a huge Cincinnati Bengals fan (Who Dey!) and started watching with my dad when I was younger, so it’s always felt special to me. I also love playing sports. I used to play hockey, but golf is my favorite now, and I’m determined to learn pickleball this year.

I work for Disney, and have been with the company for 18 yrs, what a ride it's been so far. I've met some of my closest friends there, and honestly, it's pretty special to be part of such an iconic brand and company.

I’m a little obsessed with pop culture, love fashion, and am a bit of a sneaker enthusiast...though I definitely slowed down my purchases in 2025! I also love a good, friendly debate about politics or current events. I’m naturally curious and love learning new things, reading, and connecting with people, especially as I get older.

We have a pretty active social life. Summer is definitely busier, but in the winter, it’s more cozy dinners, movies, and hanging out with friends.

I love trying new recipes and checking out new restaurants, especially hidden gems. That’s another reason I love living downtown, there’s always somewhere great just a short walk away.

Interests and hobbies

A few things about me: I grew up in Mississauga, but I moved downtown almost 15 years ago. I never thought I’d stay this long, but here I am.

I’m really close with my three siblings and spend a lot of time with them, especially at the cottage in the summer, that’s honestly what I look forward to most. We fish, play pickleball and basketball, and hang out with all the cousins. Most of us have places on the same lake, which makes it even better.

I’m a big sports fan and a converted Cincinnati Bengals (thanks to Vesna!). Most Sundays are spent watching games at home or with friends. I also love playing sports, these days I golf the most, and of course, there’s the annual “who can catch the biggest fish” competition at the cottage each summer.

I’m also a bit of a nerd at heart. l love a good sci-fi or fantasy show, it is my go to. Vesna always jokes that I’m obsessed with hobbits and wizards… and it’s true, I am lol.
