About them

We're Mark and Dan (or Dan and Mark depending on who you're talking to). We're from Ireland and looking for a Surrogate in Canada to help us achieve our dream of starting our own family. We're fun-loving people who don't take ourselves too seriously except when it comes to creating the perfect environment for our children to grow up in.

Family is very important to us, as is building relationships with everyone in our lives. We so look forward to meeting you and beginning this journey together :)

We met in Melbourne Australia in 2010 at a bar (the old-fashioned way), while both of us were due to meet with friends. Mark had arrived late so went to the mezzanine so he could look for his friends, which is where Dan just so happened to be standing. Dan said "hello" and the rest is history.

We loved living in Melbourne, but have recently moved to Ireland where Mark is from, so we can be closer to his family. Both of us love gardening and make any excuse we can be outdoors, spending time together.

We also love crosswords and do one together every singe night.

We are fully prepared for this journey financially. We have already paid our clinic in Toronto for everything involved with medicals, embryo transfers etc.

We both have great full time jobs and will not have any issues covering surrogate expenses and compensation.

We are both quite laid back people who love to laugh While we love to share everything we're doing with people in our lives, we also know how to listen. We're very caring and respectful people and will be guided by your preference for relationship style.

Fun facts about me

I once was forced to play santa claus at an animal shelter. Ask me why.

I have written 2 novels.

I am originally from Ireland and travelled to Australia for what was supposed to be 6 months (I ended up staying 16 years!)

Interests and hobbies

I love gardening, home decorating and generally being outdoors. I try to exercise whenever I can and follow most sports.

I love spending time with family, quoting lines from our favourite tv shows, or deliberately annoying each other.

I prioritise having fun at least once a day, and I look forward to the day when our kids can enjoy the life that my partner and I have built together.

Fun facts about me

Well i use to live in London and i did some supporting artist work for tv shows and movies. The most notable was in a movie with Liam Neeson and Antonio Banderas. Whilst if you blink you may miss me, the movie was a flop and bypassed the cinemas and went straight to dvd. I really hope it wasn't my acting!!!!

While i was living in London, me and my friends were filming a small video for a friend whose birthday was coming up. While filming a girl with blonde hair and her friend came up to me and asked what we were doing and i explained it to her and she offered to do the videoing with my video camera. I declined as i thought she was going to run off with my camera. Before she left she asked if we could film her saying happy birthday for my friend which she did and then they walked off. After they left my friend with me said "you know who that was right?" and i said no. She said "that was Renee Zellweger". So my friend got a personalised birthday message from Renee Zellweger and I was worried she was going to steal my camera!!!

Interests and hobbies

I love listening to music especially from the 70s, 80s and 90s, which reminds me of my childhood. I collect vinyl records from these eras and theres really something about listening to music on vinyl and hearing the crackle.

I've been collecting Lego since i was a child and have quite alot of it. Somethings you don't have to grow out of right!

I really enjoy keeping fit and looking after myself. I also love getting outdoors with Mark and enjoying nature especially in our garden.

And my soft spot is playing board games with Mark like scrabble or trouble or table tennis. I look forward to that so much, as it's so much fun and we can get very competitive. Mark usually wons though!
