Hello! We are Hizan and Carolina from Bilbao, Spain. We are 35 and 33 years old and have been together for 18 years—half of our lives! Hizan is a tennis coach, and Carolina is a family doctor. We currently have six embryos at Utah Fertility Center and are truly excited to begin the incredible journey of becoming parents!

We met in high school when we were just 17 and 15. We shared the same group of friends and our friendship turned into our first—and only—relationship. Eighteen years later, we are still that same team, growing together and loving each other a little more every day.

When we decided to begin this journey, we carefully considered our options and responsibilities. After thoughtful planning, we felt confident that we were financially prepared to move forward and fully committed to providing a stable and secure environment for you and our future family.

Embryos

Yes.

We are grateful to already have six healthy and precious embryos at Utah Fertility Center. Although our embryos are currently in the US, we are very open to making arrangements that are most convenient and comfortable for our surrogate. If she prefers to work with our clinic, we would be happy to facilitate and cover the logistics of traveling to our clinic, provided this is feasible and in the best interest of the embryos. Alternatively, if it is more convenient for her, we would also be happy to make arrangements for the embryos to be transferred to Canada. Our priority is to make the process as smooth, comfortable, and reassuring as possible for everyone involved.

We are looking for a surrogate who is kind, open, and communicative, someone with a positive and caring attitude. We hope she feels comfortable sharing the journey with us and is motivated by the joy of helping create a family.

Most importantly, we hope to build a relationship based on trust, respect, and gratitude, and we want our surrogate to feel valued and supported every step of the way.

Vaccination information

We support preventative medicine and would like our surrogate to also value vaccinations and general health care.

Views on termination

This is a journey we take together with our surrogate. We don’t have strong preferences regarding specific decisions, as long as they are guided by open and honest discussion about the child’s expected quality of life and medical recommendations. We approach everything with care, thoughtfulness, and common sense.

Fun facts about me

I consider myself a pretty cautious person and I’m definitely afraid of heights… yet somehow, at amusement parks, I insist on sitting in the front row, hands up, chasing the biggest thrill possible. It’s one of my favorite contradictions: careful in everyday life, but always ready to scream my lungs out for a good adrenaline rush.

Interests and hobbies

I enjoy reading books and watching movies with happy endings. Harry Potter is my all-time favorite saga. I love spending quality time with my family, playing board games, and also enjoying more adventurous activities like amusement parks, (DysneyLand is my favorite one in the world) escape rooms, paintball, and similar experiences.

Traveling is one of my greatest passions: discovering new cultures, learning about their traditions, and tasting different cuisines truly inspires me.

Fun facts about me

Love has made me do some pretty extraordinary things. During the COVID lockdown, I managed to travel into a town that was closed off by the police just to be with my girlfriend during those difficult times—definitely not my most “normal” adventure! Years later, after 17 amazing years together, I surprised her by proposing at Disneyland(Her favorite place in the world) right after the nighttime show. She was completely stunned… and said yes! Both moments reminded me how far I’ll go for love, and they remain some of the most unforgettable experiences of our lives.

Interests and hobbies

Sports play a central role in my life—I love both practicing them and following them, whether watching on TV or attending live sporting events. I’ve dedicated a large part of my life to sports, to the point that they have become my professional path as well.

Spending quality time with my partner is one of my greatest passions. I also enjoy traveling, eating well, discovering new cultures and their gastronomy, and cooking. In my free time, I like watching movies and TV series of almost any genre (except horror), playing board games, and enjoying activities like karting, paintball, and other adrenaline-filled experiences. I’m a competitive person who loves personal challenges and constantly pushing myself to improve.
