Doing their journey in Canada

About them

Hi, I am Zoe, a Toronto-based accountant and I am on a deeply meaningful journey to become a mother. I find joy in life’s simple, meaningful moments: from cooking meals with herbs from my garden to laughing at a TV show with a glass of wine in hand. I am also very active. There’s something I enjoy about being on a tennis court, focused and present in the moment, and in the summer, that energy often shifts into something more relaxed: hosting small backyard BBQs, where conversations linger, laughter comes easily, and time seems to stretch just a little longer. Those simple gatherings, shared with friends, are the kinds of moments that quietly make a place feel like home.

My intention is to ensure that you feel fully supported, cared for, and respected, so the focus can rest on your well-being and the extraordinary gift you are giving. I want this to be a smooth, collaborative, and meaningful experience for all of us. I hold a strong belief in trusting both you and the medical team, allowing space for their judgment and experience without over-influence.

I dream of creating a home where a child feels safe, cherished, and deeply loved, a home with laughter around the dinner table, curiosity nurtured at every stage, and emotional warmth woven into everyday life.

Single

Some stories begin long before the first chapter is written.

Back in 2008, we lived in university residences that stood right beside each other, Knox Residence and Sir Daniel Wilson at University of Toronto. We ate in the same cafeterias, breathed the same crisp morning air, studied in nearly the same libraries, and had many overlapping friends that, statistically speaking, we should have bumped into each other at least once.

And yet, somehow… we never met. Life, it seems, wasn’t finished preparing us for each other. It waited patiently, like a seed resting quietly in the soil until the season is just right.

When we finally met years later, it didn’t feel like discovering a stranger. It felt like recognizing someone familiar, someone whose life had been running parallel to each other, just waiting for the perfect moment to merge. And when it did, everything clicked with a kind of gentle inevitability… the kind that makes you think, ‘Ah, so this is what the universe was up to.’

And we show up for each other in all the ways that truly matter. Zoe supports Alex in the everyday places where real partnership lives: spending time with his senior parents, sharing warm conversations and laughter that make his whole family feel held; and grounding him after his longest, most brain-fried days with a warm meal and a softness that somehow resets his entire system. Alex, in turn, supports Zoe in his own way: with generosity, steadiness, and the quiet instinct to take care of what (and who) he loves. He provides for her not out of obligation, but with the kind of devotion that shows up before he’s even aware he’s doing it, like the morning he sprinted through freezing dawn to deliver her a charger before an IUI, looking half-heroic, half-hypothermic.

What we’ve discovered is that love doesn’t always announce itself. Sometimes it shows up disguised as errands, shared responsibilities, family and friends dinners, or someone remembering your favorite tea when the day felt too long. Together, we are ready for the next chapter: bringing a child into a home filled with warmth, humor, and unconditional love.

What they're looking for
Their hopes and requirements for a surrogate

-       One or more full-term uncomplicated pregnancies and live births

-       Physically and mentally healthy

-       On pregnancy-safe medications (or willing to switch)

-       Strong support system

-       Non-smoker/drug user

-       No more than 5 previous births

-       Clean criminal record

-       Open across Canada

-       Open to all medical options, including termination if the health of the surrogate or child is at significant risk, if quality of life would be affected.

The relationship we hope to build

-      Ability to start right away

-      I am knowledgeable about surrogacy in Canada and feel confident in doing a journey independently, however I am open to an agency

-      Comfort level afterwards - intention is for you to be a part of the family and also will respect your boundaries

-       I am hoping to connect with a surrogate who is kind, compassionate, and passionate about helping others create a family. I admire the courage, generosity, and heart that surrogacy requires, and I hope to build a relationship based on trust, openness, respect, shared purpose, and moments of joy along the way, celebrating milestones, exchanging messages, and walking this journey together.

Views on termination

I fully respect the surrogate’s health and well being throughout the process. I think its a good idea to terminate if the health of the surrogate or child is at significant risk, if quality of life would be affected, or if a serious genetic condition is detected

Fun facts about me

I’ve tried learning to swim a few times… and instead of becoming a fish, I somehow developed aquaphobia.

Interests and hobbies

I love tending to my little garden, growing cucumbers, tomatoes, and a variety of fresh herbs. There’s something so satisfying about picking ingredients I’ve grown myself and turning them into meals I love — whether it’s a crisp, vibrant salad or a hearty, comforting beef stew.

What friends say
“

My friends describe me as caring, dependable, and deeply thoughtful. I am someone who listens fully, loves wholeheartedly, and shows up when it matters. They’d also say I have a playful streak and somehow manage to laugh even when life gets a bit hectic. Warmth, sincerity, and connection are my compass, and I bring them into every part of my life.
