Hi there, we are Victoria (Vikki) and Ian from Ottawa, Ontario. We have been together for about 10 years now and married for 3! We are both 32 years old (our birthdays being a week apart - we may have a favourite month 🎃). Our little family currently consists of our cat, Bruce and our dog, Apollo. We are looking forward to connecting with others here.

We both love to travel, this is what initially brought us together when we met on the Bumble dating app back in early 2017. Our relationship grew as we got to know each other - Ian making Victoria laugh with his many movie quotes and impressions, and Victoria sharing some of her sign language skills (to broaden Ian's vocabulary beyond just 'bacon').

In 2021, we bought our first home together on a quiet suburban court. We planned our first trip together that summer - to the Bruce Peninsula where Victoria spent summers as a child. Ian proposed on that trip, knowing how special it would be to her. We married in October of 2022, surrounded by fall colours and all of our friends and family.

Financial preparedness

We feel very blessed to be in a financial position to afford this journey, and all of the associated costs. Because we have already been through a partial/unsuccessful process, we are well aware of the financial demands. We have worked hard to put aside money for this journey and thankfully have a strong support system. We are looking forward to being able to support our potential surrogate throughout this whole experience!

The relationship we hope to build

We are currently seeking and independent match, but are open to exploring agencies as we are still learning a lot! While we've had a good experience with our current clinic, we're also open to moving to whichever clinic works best for all of us.

We want our potential surrogate to know that we'd love to build a genuine and honest relationship. We hope to share laughs during the fun and happy moments, and are ready to support you throughout it all. We appreciate open communication and spending the time to really get to know one another.

Fun facts about me

Although my congenital heart defect has caused some bumps along the road, I still think of it as a fun fact that I had two open heart surgeries by the time I was two years old. My body is strong & deserves that shout out!
I grew up on a court with many young families. We were raised together on slip n slides, court parties and group bike rides. We now live on a court of our own, hoping to provide a similar experience for our child one day.
Ian says I must have been a trucker in a past life 🚚 - no, not because of the language I use, but because of my love for road tripping. I love being at the wheel, short drives or long treks; planned journeys or spontaneous day trips.

Interests and hobbies

I love to spend time reading whether it’s a fun romance, biography or my favourite - a cozy mystery! 📚
I’m known to rewatch my comfort tv shows over & over (Friends, Gilmore Girls, The Sopranos - you know, the classics!), and my guilty pleasure is reality TV.
I love to spend time at the cottage or camping with Ian & family/friends. I love to be on the water - lounging, swimming or paddle boarding.

Fun facts about me

I've been told I have a knack for "voices" of characters/people - Everything from King Julien, Schwarzenegger, or Kermit!
Vikki also says I am an encyclopedia of shows and movie quotes - sometimes this goes hand in hand with the many impersonations.
I have never broken any bones! (Other than my nose 👃)

Interests and hobbies

I love doing DIY things around the house, which is particularly focused around woodworking! I've made lots of various things like custom bathroom vanities, desks, side tables, and cutting boards!
Getting outdoors is super important to me (and our dog!). Whether it's just a casual dog walk, or car or backcountry camping, I enjoy disconnecting and appreciating the fantastic nature we have in Ontario.
Definitely have a guilty pleasure of some reality TV (SLOMW or Love is Blind), but I definitely most enjoy movies that get my brain going, whether it's horror or thriller!
