Hello! 👋 Kenneth and Sheldon here, on a quest to become the best dads in the world. We’ve got the love, the home, and an amazing support system (plus an unexplainable urge to be thrown up on the daily, ruin our pristine carpets, and eventually be stepping on Legos at 2 AM). We’re looking for an incredible partner to help us make this dream a reality and share a bunch of laughs along the way.

...and in case you were wondering about the garbage bags, they were to shield us during the Eras Tour rain show we saw in Nashville. One of us is a Swiftie, the other one isn't. We dare you to guess who!

We met at a friend's birthday party in 2013. After a night of dancing, we somehow ended up making homemade vanilla milkshakes together. Though we've never looked back from there, we’ve definitely upgraded our blender.

Since then, we’ve built a whole life together. We’ve explored the world (and gotten food poisoning more than once), have watched countless TV series (please don't ask for a favourite), and built a village of incredible friends and family that provide us with endless support, love and laughter.

Financial preparedness

We know surrogacy is demanding, and our ultimate goal is to alleviate as much of that stress as possible. We’re full-time professionals with stable careers, and have been saving for years to ensure we are completely financially prepared for this process. We are fully prepared for all expenses required so our surrogate can focus entirely on her own well-being and a healthy pregnancy.

We are well-prepared with three PGT-A tested embryos currently at Olive Fertility in Vancouver. We also have frozen eggs and sperm stored at the clinic, allowing us to create additional embryos if needed.

Requirements

Below are the ideal clinical recommendations from our clinic. Our clinic also notes some of the requirements are flexible as long as a health screening is passed.

Under 41 years of age
BMI no greater than 40.
A history of an uncomplicated pregnancy and delivery at or near term
Six month since uncomplicated vaginal delivery, one year since an uncomplicated caesarean section
Non-smoker: if recently quit must be > 3 months.

The gift you are considering giving us is beyond words, and we hope to build a genuine, lifelong friendship with you rooted in trust, mutual respect, and plenty of laughter. You are completely in the driver’s seat, and while we are here to support you every step of the way, we will always honour and respect your boundaries. In our eyes, this bond doesn’t end when the baby arrives—you will always be a cherished part of our family’s story, and our door will always be open to a lifelong relationship. We also know this will be a rollercoaster of a journey, and we’re hoping we can match with someone who can laugh with as was we go through it together!

We would expect our surrogate to follow the suggestions of doctors in terms of vaccinations.

Views on termination

Our top priority is the health of both our surrogate and our baby. We’re happy to follow any doctor’s advice, including terminating the pregnancy if there are any medical issues with either our surrogate or the baby.

Fun facts about me

I’m a huge fan of Big Brother and even tried out for the first season of Big Brother Canada. I once drove all the way from Vancouver to Los Angeles just to be in the audience for the US version of the show. I even got a high-five from the person who was evicted on that episode. If you ask nicely, I might share the YouTube link, even though I was in a terrible bleached-hair era.

Interests and hobbies

My personality is basically a mix of cozy crafter and high-tech nerd. One minute I'm doing pottery, crocheting, or playing the piano, and the next I'm losing three hours of my life to random Wikipedia pages trying to figure out things like how big the universe is.

I also love following whatever's going on in technology, but I'll always have a soft spot for my favorite, familiar comforts.

I fell in love with hip-hop dancing in my 20s and always imagined my alternative secret life as a professional backup dancer or a contestant on So You Think You Can Dance.

I’m also a bit nerdy, and still watch Pokémon and other anime shows to relax.

Interests and hobbies

I love travelling. Whenever I visit a new country, I’m always drawn to all the top attractions, even if they’re complete tourist traps.

I also enjoy cooking, especially for the people I care about. It’s the #1 way for me to express my love. Though Sheldon, who is legally obligated to clean up the tornado of pots and pans I leave behind, might tell you differently.
