About them

Hello! We’re Pascal and Irwin, a warm, loving, and down-to-earth couple who deeply value family, connection, and living life to the fullest. We share a passion for staying active, exploring new places, and embracing life’s adventures - whether that’s traveling abroad, trying new recipes in the kitchen, or spending time outdoors with our dog, Taj. We’re both driven, caring, and grounded individuals who find joy in creating a home filled with laughter, love, and support. Our journey so far has strengthened our bond and our shared dream of growing our family through surrogacy.

Over the past year, we’ve taken the time to educate ourselves and prepare thoughtfully, emotionally, financially, and practically, for this next chapter. We have so much admiration for the incredible women who choose to become surrogates, and we hope to connect with someone who shares our values of kindness, openness, and genuine partnership. To us, this journey is not just about building a family—it’s about creating something truly special together, built on trust, respect, and heartfelt gratitude.

Relationship status

Married

Irwin and I met in January 2020 through the Hinge dating app, just before the world slowed down with the pandemic. From our very first date - a three-hour dinner filled with laughter and effortless conversation - we both knew there was something truly special between us. As the world shifted and we spent more time at home, our bond only deepened, and we moved in together nine months later. Since then, life has been such a beautiful journey! We welcomed our sweet dog, Taj, bought our first home, and got engaged in Tulum, Mexico in 2022. A year later, on October 7th, 2023, we celebrated our love surrounded by 120 of our closest friends and family at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, marking the beginning of our next chapter together.

Financial preparedness

We’ve taken a lot of time to learn about the surrogacy journey and prepare for this exciting next step. It’s something we’re deeply committed to, and we’ve worked hard to set aside the financial resources we believe will make this experience as positive and stress-free as possible. We’re very open to having honest conversations with our potential surrogate about what feels right, and we’re confident we can find a balance that supports everyone’s needs.

Canadian Independent Surrogacy

We joined the Canadian Independent Surrogacy online group a few months ago looking for support and information as we prepared for this next chapter. Along the way, we’ve been lucky to find an incredible community—so many helpful resources and wonderful people who’ve shared their experiences and encouragement with us!

Requirements

We’re hoping to connect with someone under the age of 40 who has had at least one successful pregnancy, has not had more than three previous C-sections, and who feels her own family is already complete.

The relationship we hope to build

We’re hoping to connect with someone who shares similar values and enjoys a balanced, active, and healthy lifestyle. Someone who is warm, friendly, and open - communication is very important to us, as we’d love to stay closely connected and build a genuine bond throughout this journey. We truly see this as a partnership, one built on mutual respect, trust, and shared joy.

Fun facts about me

A few fun facts about me, I was adopted at birth, something that has always given me a deep appreciation for the beauty of family in all its forms. Growing up, I wrote and recorded my own music and even designed fashion collections that made it to the runway at Ottawa Fashion Week - proof that when I’m passionate about something, I dive right in! I’ve also been lucky enough to visit 23 countries (and counting!), including one of my favorite adventures dancing on an episode of Live with Kelly & Mark in New York City!

Interests and hobbies

I love music and try to bring creativity and positivity into everything I do. Staying active is important to me, whether that’s going for a walk, exploring somewhere new, or just keeping busy with projects around the house. I have a big love for interior design and decorating, fashion, and finding beauty in the little things. Concerts and theatre nights are some of my favourite ways to unwind, and I’m always up for an adventure, especially when it involves traveling and discovering new cultures.

What friends say
“

My friends would describe me as a warm, loving, and caring person with a big heart. I’m someone who puts others first and loves to make people feel seen and supported. They’d say I’m outgoing and ambitious, always chasing new goals but never too busy to share a laugh or lend a hand. I have an adventurous spirit and love trying new things, but I’m also grounded and organized, which helps me stay centered and keep life in balance.

Interests and hobbies

I love spending time in the kitchen, whether I’m experimenting with a new recipe or baking something delicious. I’m a bit of a politics buff and always enjoy a good debate or catching up on what’s happening in the world. Hitting the gym is my way to recharge, and when I’m not there, you can usually find me watching a Marvel movie (I never miss one!). I’ve got a big love for travel too and find that there’s nothing better than exploring new places and soaking up new experiences along the way. In addition, for over 10 years, I have worked as a part-time Military officer with the Army Cadet program, where I help mentor and guide youth between the ages of 12-18.

What friends say
“

My friends would describe me as passionate and caring, someone who leads with his heart and is always there for the people he loves. They’d say I’m ambitious and hardworking, but that family always comes first no matter what. I’m the kind of person who finds meaning in connection, whether it’s sharing a good meal, supporting a friend through something tough, or just being present with the people who matter most to me.
