Doing their journey in Canada

About them

Hi, we’re Meagan and Milad from Sudbury, Ontario. Dog parents to two very spoiled mini poodles, Dexter and Tyson, and hoping to become parents to one very loved little baby.

We’ve been together for almost eight years and married for four., We’ve built a life that we truly love; one filled with laughter, adventure, quiet evenings at home, and two dogs who somehow manage to be at the center of almost everything we do.

For the past four years on our journey to grow our family, we’ve experienced uncertainty, challenges, heartbreak and loss. And while this path has challenged us in ways we never imagined, it’s also deepened our appreciation for one another and reinforced just how much love we have waiting to share with our future child. Every step has been taken with hope, and every setback has only deepened our belief that our family is still waiting for us.

Our doctors have recommended that surrogacy is the safest way for us to finally bring our baby home.

You’ll usually find us traveling somewhere new, spending sunny afternoons on the golf course, trying a new restaurant, or simply enjoying the little moments that make a house feel like home.

Milad is the calm and steady heart of our family. He’s incredibly hardworking, dependable, and the kind of person who makes everyone around him feel comfortable. He has a quiet confidence, a generous heart, and is always the first person to show up when someone needs help.

Meagan is the planner, the dreamer, and the one who loves creating traditions and making people feel welcome. She finds joy in bringing people together, believes home should always be a place of comfort, and is happiest when making sourdough for the people she loves.

Above everything else, we’re best friends. We laugh a lot, support each other through every challenge, and have built our relationship on kindness, honesty, and unwavering teamwork.

Relationship status

Married

Our story started the way many modern love stories do. Milad took a chance and slid into Meagans DMs. Thankfully, she replied, and almost eight years later, we are still laughing about how it all began. What started with one message grew into a relationship built on friendship, trust, and a whole lot of laughter.

We’ve learned that some of our favourite memories aren’t the big milestones but the ordinary moments that end up meaning the most. One of my favourite examples is our summer golf nights. Meagan takes the game a little more seriously than Milad does, so while she is  working on her swing, he’s usually perfectly happy being the “cart princess,” driving the golf cart, playing music, and cheering me on. It makes us laugh every time, and somehow those simple evenings have become some of our favourite memories together.

That’s really who we are. We genuinely enjoy spending time together, whether we’re traveling somewhere new, trying a new restaurant, relaxing at home with Dexter and Tyson, or simply making the most of an ordinary Tuesday evening.

At the heart of it all, we’re best friends. No matter what life has brought our way, we’ve always faced it as a team, and we can’t wait to bring that same partnership into parenthood.

Financial preparedness

We’ve spent a great deal of time preparing for this journey, both emotionally and financially, and we’re committed to ensuring our surrogate feels supported every step of the way.

We understand that surrogacy comes with real commitments, and we believe no surrogate should ever be left financially disadvantaged for helping another family grow. We will fully reimburse all eligible expenses in accordance with Canadian law and are committed to working with experienced legal professionals to ensure everything is handled transparently and fairly.

We’ve planned carefully for this journey and have budgeted for all expected surrogacy-related costs, including medical expenses, travel, lost wages (when applicable), maternity clothing, childcare, and any other reimbursable expenses permitted under the Assisted Human Reproduction Act.

More than anything, we want our surrogate to feel valued, respected, and supported throughout the entire journey, so she can focus on what matters most; her health, her family, and the incredible gift she’s helping us receive.

Vaccination information

We trust and value evidence-based medical care and are happy to discuss vaccinations recommended during pregnancy with our treating physician and surrogate.

Views on termination

We sincerely hope no one ever faces these circumstances. However, we are open to termination, whether that is due to a serious medical complication affecting our surrogate, or a genetic or fetal condition that would significantly impact that baby’s quality of life. This is not a decision we would make alone. It is something that we would want to talk through with our surrogate and our medical team before moving forwards.
