Some of my friends might try to testify that I have a hidden craving for loudly singing Dutch folk songs at karaoke. I couldn’t possibly comment.

Any cake made of marzipan within my reach is less safe than a mouse in the hands of a cat.

Stan almost broke off our first date because I was wearing white pants. (In my defense: it was summer and over 30 degrees Celsius!)

I am an avid rower and swimmer. I also enjoy literature, exploring cities and mountain hiking. Working at an international energy company, what energizes me personally is connecting with people and cultures from around the globe. Lastly, together with Stan I love spending time with friends and family.

I am a surgeon in training and healthcare enthusiast. This job inspires me every day by feeding my curiosity and connecting me with people from all walks of life. It allows me to explore diverse cultures, enriched by my experiences working in Brazil and Malawi.

To clear my mind, I love running and cycling—mostly in a calm and social way, but at times a bit more competitive, for example when training for a marathon. Martijn has become my real hiking companion, sharing a passion for exploring—from walks along the Bruce Peninsula to hiking the mountain in Quebec. Reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro was a true landmark in my life, especially because I shared the experience with Martijn and my sister.
