Our Story: Harley and Danika met in their first year of college, where they studied criminology. They immediately connected and became best friends. This was almost 10 years ago, and today, they are still inseparable, often described as two peas in a pod. They got happily married in December 2021 and started their journey to parenthood in 2022. This involved many tears, many needles, and many visits to clinics. Never once did they give up hope. Today, Harley and Danika enjoys playing board games and hosting board game nights. You can probably find them cuddling on the couch watching a show or a movie after a long day at work. If they are not at home, they share a common love for Sauble Beach, Ontario, this is where they got engaged in 2021. Watching the sunset over Lake Huron will never bore them, it is truly the place they love to be.  

Why Surrogacy?: Unfortunately, Danika was born without a uterus; this is a rare syndrome called MRKH. She was diagnosed at the age of 16. At first, she was devastated, but never once did she let this diagnosis deter her dreams and hopes of one day becoming a mother. They are searching for their missing piece to help them build their family. Will it be you? 

About Danika: Danika is French Canadian, born and raised in a small French community in northern Ontario. She grew up fishing and playing in the woods. Danika is also indigenous; she is part Algonquin and is proud of her indigenous roots. Today, Danika can be found reading a book or doing something artsy; she loves to paint and be creative. Danika also loves cooking and baking, making yummy food is her way to show her love. She enjoys having friends and family over to host and feed! As someone born with MRKH (Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser) syndrome, Danika has always known that building a family might look different for her. While she may not be able to carry a pregnancy herself, her desire to become a parent is deeply rooted and unwavering.

About Harley: Harley was born and raised in Cambridge, Ontario. He grew up playing a few sports, like hockey and golf. Today, Harley enjoys spending quality time with his friends, and his love for golf is still ongoing. He may not be at the PGA level, however he can hit the ball. Harley loves to make people laugh and will one day be the best at dad jokes. Harley is also hard-working, and always strives to achieve more at work.
