We’re Laura and Chris! We’re new IPs looking to grow our family in Toronto Canada. We’re pursing surrogacy due to a medication that Laura takes which prevents her from becoming pregnant. Laura went through a successful round of IVF so now we’re looking for our angel that would help us grow our family ❤️

Laura and I met during one of the lulls of Covid when patios were open and you could grab a drink or dinner at a restaurant during the summer and fall.

At the time I was living with roommates and they were healthcare workers and so we were very careful to follow the restrictions. So as winter approached and the restrictions tightened we had to decide how we were going to continue to deepen our relationship.

Laura decided to take a risk on me and moved in with me, my roommates and our 2 cats within 4 weeks of knowing each other! It was trail by fire but we’ve never looked back and our relationship has only gotten stronger.

Financial preparedness

We are financially prepared to take on a surrogacy journey. Both of us have great jobs and are aware of the financial expectations in Canada. We also have supportive families on both sides that are very excited to be grandparents.

Fun facts about me

My wife and I bought our 100 year old house together and I gutted and renovated it myself so we could raise our family here.
In university I was on the varsity cheerleading team and competed internationally.
I once competed in an engineering hackathon in Sweden and our team won making smart home products for elder care!

Interests and hobbies

I love building things and keep busy with home improvement projects, furniture building and other woodworking projects.
I also enjoy running and rowing to keep in shape.
Together Laura and I like exploring different new restaurants and events in our community.
In the winter we’re love getting out to ski when the weather permits it.
We also have an amazing cat that we adore, he loves to hang out with people and even play fetch!

I’m quarter Chinese
I can solve a Rubik’s cube in under a minute
I’ve been on Dragons Den (the TV show!) it was terrifying but also very fun!

Interests and hobbies

I love staying active - reformer Pilates and yoga have been my go tos lately!
Lately I’ve been really into reading romantic fantasy books (iykyk)! I blame it on being a big Harry Potter fan when I was a kid
As a pastime I really enjoy cross stitching! My grandma taught me how to when I was a child and it’s a great hobby
I’ve decided to take on the challenge of teaching our cat Ollie different tricks! So far he knows how to sit and give paw!
My comfort TV show is Superstore and Modern Family, I’ve watched them soo many times!
I’m a big Dallas Cowboys fan and took my dad to a home game for his 70th last year - we had a blast!
I enjoy baking - mostly because Chis LOVES banana muffins and I always buy too many bananas 😅
I don’t identify as Disney Adult but my sister and I go there almost every year together and it really holds a special place in my heart!
