About them

We’re a French couple living in Montpellier, in the south of France.

Vincent, 44, was born in eastern France. He has one brother, and his parents—two of the kindest people you could ever meet—mean the world to him. He works as a nephrologist at the local hospital, where he oversees kidney transplant procedures.

Julien, 35, is a native of Montpellier. His father is Vietnamese, and his mother was Spanish. He has a brother, a sister, two nieces, and three nephews. Julien works as a financial manager for an international company headquartered in Chicago.

Their hopes and requirements for a surrogate
Requirements

We don’t have any specific requirements for our surrogate. What matters most to us is connecting with someone who genuinely wants to help us build our family.

The relationship we hope to build

The well-being of both the surrogate and our future child will always be our top priority. We chose Canada because we deeply respect its ethical approach to surrogacy. It’s important to us that we can one day explain to our child how they came into the world—and introduce them to the wonderful people who made it possible.

From the moment our child is old enough to understand, we’ll talk openly about their origins. If they ever wish to reach out to you, we’d love to make that possible.

We imagine the relationship with both the donor and the surrogate as something warm and lasting—like family living abroad. We’d love to stay in touch, share updates, send photos, and keep that connection alive over time.

For us, the ideal surrogate is someone who values family and leads a healthy lifestyle. Beyond that, we don’t have any specific preferences—we truly believe that meaningful connections can grow with all kinds of people. What matters most is mutual trust, kindness, and the shared joy of bringing a child into the world.

Vaccination information

As Vincent is a doctor, it is no surprise that we place great importance on health and prevention. We believe that vaccination against common diseases is essential, and we hope our surrogate shares this perspective. Ensuring a safe and healthy pregnancy—for both the surrogate and the baby—is something we care deeply about.

Views on termination

We know this is one of the most difficult aspects of the surrogacy journey, but we believe it’s essential to approach it with openness and honesty from the very beginning.

Our position is guided by medical advice and compassion: if doctors identify a serious risk to the health of the baby or the surrogate, we would choose to terminate the pregnancy. Likewise, if the baby were diagnosed with a severe condition that would significantly affect their ability to live a normal life, we would make the same decision.

These are not choices we take lightly. They come from a place of deep care—for the surrogate, for the child, and for the life we hope to build together.

Fun facts about me

I have a big collection of stuffed animals — and yes, every single one has a name! I even sleep with them, which drives Vincent a little crazy because it takes up so much space in our bedroom!

Interests and hobbies

I'm Julien, 35, and I work as a financial manager at an international company.

I stay active by weightlifting at least three times a week, and I absolutely love travelling. We've explored places like Bali, Mexico, Vietnam, French Polynesia, and Guadeloupe. Whenever we travel, we dive — sometimes as deep as 40 meters — to discover marine life and admire the beauty of coral reefs.

I really enjoy spending time with my friends and family, going out to Asian restaurants, cooking, and watching movies and series.

My father was born in Vietnam and my mother is Spanish, so food is a big part of my life. I cook every day, and my favourite dishes are Mediterranean classics like ratatouille.

I'm very organized and love keeping our home tidy and well-organized.

What friends say
“

I think my friends would describe me as someone they can truly rely on — no matter what they need, I’m always there for them. I also love making people laugh; I have a great sense of humour and genuinely enjoy bringing joy to those I care about.

Most of my friends say I’m a big dreamer because I set high expectations for myself and work hard to achieve them!

Fun facts about me

Outside my work, I can sometimes be hilariously scatterbrained. I once panicked because I "lost" my passport, searched everywhere, almost applied for a new one... and then found it sitting peacefully in the bag I use every single day...

Interests and hobbies

I love staying active. I play padel with friends every week, and I hit the gym every week. I'm passionate about travelling and discovering new places around the world. One of my biggest passions is scuba diving. I've explored amazing spots in Corsica, Mauritius, Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Polynesia, Thailand and Bali. I also love spending time with friends and family, grabbing a drink in the city, and trying out new restaurants.

What friends say
“

My friends see me as someone deeply loyal and genuinely empathetic. I'm the kind of person who loves taking care of others, which is also why I chose my profession. I'm always there for my family and friends, and they know they can count on me no matter what. I'm calm, grounded, and bring a sense of stability to the people around me.
